Acne is not one pattern: comedones, inflammatory papules, cysts, or later marks and pigment. Diagnosis grades severity and sites and looks for hormonal drivers, picking, or pore-clogging products.
Topical or oral medication is decided after consultation. Isotretinoin is effective in selected cases and needs monitoring; it is not first-line for every visitor. Chemical peels may help texture and pigment once inflammation settles.
Devices such as SPECTRA XT are used in inflammation or mark pathways according to assessment. Laser on severely active inflammation can worsen injury, so timing matters more than the device name. Book an assessment with Dr. Reham Asaad at Venezia in Basra. Content reviewed by Dr. Reham Asaad.
